Looks good but I'd want to see it in person before putting down some cash, especially after buying your 'installed once' seat post that turned out to be very badly scratched.

It's not often that people come across lost bikes and unfortunately, it's not often that people will actually do the right thing with that bike. You did good with posting it up in a thread. People will see it and you can bump it every once in a while if you wanted to. Definitely talk to the police and see what they say about you keeping the bike if they don't find the owner.
